Friday, April 12, 2024 – Annual Field Day & Eid Party
Location: Bonnie Wenk Park
Time: from 8:20 – 12:30PM.
We’re excited to share details about our annual Field Day & Eid Party that our students look forward to every year.
This year, we’ve moved our Field Day up to an earlier date to include it in our yearbook and combined it with Eid Party since it’s after Eid break. We believe this change will extend the Eid celebrations for our students when they connect the memories of Eid with Field Day.
Waiver
To be signed by all parents if child is attending. If your child is not attending, please reply to your email to let us know. Your child will not be able to attend without the below waiver. See email.
Attire:
Please have students come dressed in simple t-shirts, comfortable pants and comfortable shoes keeping in mind the EA dress code for each class. Thanks to the generous support of our community sponsors, PSG has arranged for custom-made t-shirts for all our students to wear on Field Day. We’ll be distributing these shirts on the day itself. Please make sure the students have appropriate sun and bug protection, (sunblock, bug spray) before arriving as teachers will not have this with them. They are welcome to bring caps, visors or sun hats with them, but please refrain from sending sunglasses.
Drop Off & Pick up:
Field Day will take place at Bonnie Wenk Park, with drop-off and pick-up arrangements directly from the Park. Please plan to drop off your child between 8:20 and 8:26am. Field day will start at 8:30am. Pick-up will be from 12:30 to 12:50pm. Please see staggered pick up schedule below. Late arrival: Parents are advised that if they anticipate being late for pick-up beyond 12:50pm to coordinate with a relative, friend or fellow EA parent to pick up their child until they arrive at the park. EA staff will need to be at an alternate location after 12:50pm to continue their workday.
Park Staggered Pickup Procedure:
In an effort to reduce the congestion at the park, we have the following dismissal schedule in place for all students. Here are the details:
For families with Primary Students (both Half-Day Students and full day Primary Students): (For example if you have a child in Primary and another in UE, you’ll arrive at 12:30pm)
Dismissal will be at 12:30PM
For families with Elementary and EASE students:
Dismissal will be at 12:40 PM.
What to bring:
We kindly ask that your child has a small backpack with the following items, all labeled with their name:
1. Snack in a disposable plastic bag
2. Disposable water bottle
3. Extra set of clothes in a plastic bag
Eid Party:
As part of our Eid festivities, the school will provide lunch for all students. We’ll be serving cheese pizza and juice, but if your child has any allergies or can not eat pizza, please send an alternative meal for them. PSG will be providing popsicles for the students to enjoy. Normally as part of our Eid party, we have a gift exchange between students. However, this year, the school will be distributing gifts to the students instead. We pray this eases any burden this may cause parents and takes something off your to do list. If your child wishes to gift any of their friends, please coordinate amongst each other outside of school hours.
