Early Dismissal

Stormy weather is heading our way and I would like to remind you of our procedures for inclement weather.  We follow McKinney ISD for school closures.  In the event that school needs to be closed, we will send out an email as well as call parents about the school closing.  For today, we have been monitoring the weather and currently there is a 47% chance of freezing rain/sleet predicted for 2 pm.  In order to allow for safe passage of our students who live outside of McKinney, we will have dismissal at 12:45 pm after students complete their lunch.   

There is a high chance that school may be closed for Tuesday and Wednesday, so please keep an eye out for an email sent in the morning by 7 am regarding closure and a phone call from a staff member at MSE.  In the event of a full day closure, you will receive emails from your child’s teachers to join Zoom links for online sessions to continue instruction.  For middle school students who come in person, they will be required to join their classes online.
